The Institute for Applied Informatics (InfAI) e.V. is an affiliated institute of the University of Leipzig founded in 2006 and serves as a transfer institute for the purpose of promoting research in the fields of informatics and business informatics. In a wide network of numerous companies, research institutions and funding bodies, the more than 160 scientific employees of the InfAI develop solutions based on current ICT technologies for various target industries within the framework of research and transfer projects, bring these to product maturity together with companies in a closed value chain, make innovations usable for companies and manage inherent research risks.
The Competence Centre Künstlich-Menschlich-Intelligent (KMI) (“Artificial – Human – Intelligent”) combines specialist expertise from science, technology, industry and social associations. The application-oriented research always focuses on the design of a future-oriented working world.
